Description

This EP  is a passioned plea for surrender, worship, and living life more fully.

This project has been 10 plus years in the making. There have been numerous obstacles that have kept me from getting this project finished. I lost my voice and was unable to sing for nearly 2 years. Additionally I struggled with severe anxiety which paralyzed me. I had to work through these things and through much prayer, encouragement and hard work I am slowly overcoming these hurdles. This led me to the realization that the enemy was stealing my joy and God spoke to me and told me it was time to share these songs with others. I just had to be willing to trust God and get out of my own way and stop making excuses. This gave me a new found strength and and confidence which forced me to push onward and allow God to do HIS work.

I hope you enjoy My Journey as reflected in these songs.

1. CAPABLE

The first release from Kristen’s upcoming EP. This song speaks to ones feelings of despair: how can we make it through difficult times when we sometimes just want to give up when things do not go as planned or when things seem to be too hard. We might want to hide our faces bury our heads in the sand or run away from our problems, but God knows our struggles and knows we are Capable of so much more then we give ourselves credit for. We must learn to be patient and wait on God which means learning to listen and  realizing that things happen in Gods timing and not in ours.

We are broken sinful people. We often do not feel worthy to be in the presence of our Almighty God. We need to pray daily for the Lord to renew us with His strength and ask Him to give us eyes to see things how He sees them and not through the worlds lens.   We need God to be able to get through life’s struggles.  We need constant reminders that our past does not define us and that we are all new creations in Him.  When we worship God in all we do then He can shine through us and then others can know his glory.  We need to remember to praise God in any and all circumstances for it is when we are weak He is strong.
